Transforming South Africa, one girl at a time.
OUR PILLARS
By naming our classrooms after African female leaders, we elevate often hidden stories of achievement.
Nurturing leaders who will pioneer African solutions to African problems through critical thinking.
Transforming townships into thriving towns by celebrating “firsts” in underserved communities.
Providing children with safe spaces to explore, be vulnerable, and build resilience for the future.
Our values-based approach to education strengthens and builds character for future generations while mending the frail social ties that unites our UBUNTU.
OUR VALUES
Botho/Ubuntu speaks to the fact that we are all connected and that one can only grow and progress through the growth and progression of others. It refers to treating others with respect and acting in ways that benefit the community. As we collaborate and interact with others, we learn to appreciate the perspectives that others share.
Discipline is the focused attitude of self-control that drives the systematic and consistent application of commitment and dedication to achieve results. It is the epitome of enduring, intrinsic motivation that overcomes the constant adversity we all face on a daily basis.
Integrity is a component of moral character that represents positive and virtuous attributes, such as honesty, truthfulness, and openness, including clarity of conduct, as well as the absence of lying, cheating, theft, and other unethical behaviour. Integrity also involves being reliable, trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere. We value integrity in our interactions with one another. We must take responsibility for our actions and endeavour to learn from our mistakes.
Accountability underpins everything we do, providing a strong moral compass and a sense of responsibility. This means taking ownership of our words and actions and demonstrating strength of character. We hold ourselves accountable for our own actions, admit when we fail to meet our own standards, and always strive to be our best selves.
This value is at the core of everything we do in our school. It underpins learning through behaviour and one’s attitude towards the people around them. It is the goal of Molo Mhlaba to create a mutually respectful atmosphere between all individuals involved in our school, including administrators, teachers, staff members, students, parents, and partners.
We are a school that encourages staff members and children to care for one another, show concern for the wellness and well-being of others, and act to make a better world.
